Mr. Kenneth Godfrey, age 72, of Cave Springs, Ga. passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. Kenneth was born November 13, 1949 the son of the late Roland Godfrey and the late Jimmie Crane Godfrey.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 5 Honor Guard in Rome, Ga. He was of Baptist faith and loved his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Keith Godfrey. He is survived by his son Lance Godfrey and his wife Debbie; granddaughters Abbie Godfrey and Maddie Godfrey; his brother Mack Godfrey and his wife Louise; his sister Jane Godfrey Nesbit; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins including his beloved cousin Carol Godfrey Lambert.
A graveside service will be held at Round Hill Cemetery, Cave Springs, Ga. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with the American Legion Post 5 Honor Guard in charge of the military graveside rites. Daniels Funeral Home, Rome, Ga. has charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Kenneth’s wishes were to send any donations to the American Legion Post 5, Rome, Ga.
