Frankie Briggs Traylor

Mrs. Traylor was born February 23, 1928 in Rome, Georgia; the daughter of the late Frank Briggs and Mary Warren Briggs. She was a graduate of Rome High and member of First Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Traylor worked many years with Coosa Valley Federal Credit Union.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Traylor, Jr. and a sister, Mary Emma Boss.

Mrs. Traylor is survived by two sons, James Leonard Traylor III (Kathy) and Franklin Briggs Traylor (Pam); four grandchildren, Lindsey Traylor, Katie Traylor, Samuel Traylor and Mary Grace Traylor; 3 sisters, Dorothy Lacey of Knoxville, TN, Martha Pinson of Rome, and Jane Allen of Knoxville, TN. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Logan Boss and Martha Pinson for their extraordinary support and encouragement during Mrs. Traylor’s extended illness.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at a later date in East View Cemetery.
