Emily Hogg Barba was born in Rome, Georgia on August 22, 1948, daughter of the late Glover Abner Hogg and Dorothy Archer Hogg.
Emily was a graduate of the Thornwood School for Girls and attended Converse College, The University of North Carolina and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, from The University of Georgia.
After retiring, Emily was devoted to spending time her grandchildren and her family. She remained passionate about all things artistic and exploration of creative expression in all shapes and sizes.
She is survived by her children, Anthony Piero Barba & Dorothy Elisa Forino, and her husband, Christopher N.M.P. Forino; her grandchildren, Mia Luna Forino and Luca Michael Forino; her sister, Lynn Hogg Robinson and her husband William Foster Robinson; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and countless lifelong friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Glover Mausoleum at Myrtle Hill Cemetery on Thursday, January the 14th at 2:00pm. The Rt. Rev. Frank Logue, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia, will officiate with the Rev. John Herring, Rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rome assisting.
