Connie was born and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. As a young woman, her family moved from New York to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she met and married her husband Michael. They soon moved to Detroit where they had two daughters. The family would follow the automotive industry and later move to Richmond, Indiana where she was active in community theater. Following Mike’s death and her second marriage, she moved back to Detroit where she lived for much of her life. Connie and her husband, Steve moved to Rome in 2005 to escape the Michigan weather and live near her daughter. While in Rome, she was active in the New Romans and loved to play bridge. Those who knew her, also know that she loved Broadway music and would sing often.
Connie is survived by her Michigan family: her daughter Kathryn (Donald), grandson Jacob (Catherine) of Michigan and Minnesota, grandson Nicholas (Anna), and great-granddaughter Mae.
She is predeceased by her daughter Deborah, of Rome and survived by son-in-law Joe, of Rome.
Connie is survived by and was lovingly cared for by her very special niece and namesake, Connie, of Calhoun, GA. Her niece’s enduring love and frequent visits made her final years in Rome, GA memorable. The Michigan family is ever in her debt. Connie is survived by and grateful for the faithful, loving care of Verdi, also of Rome. She is survived by many nieces and nephews in Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. She will be missed by her many friends and especially Carol in Australia.
We are all grateful for the care and loving kindness of the staff of the Spires Magnolia Place, Heyman Hospice, especially Tracey, Brittany, Sherie, Stephanie. Thanks to the wonderful women who cared for her in her home and dealt with so much day to day: Stephanie and Dee-Dee, and Patricia.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Daniels-FuneralHome.com for the Patrick family.
