Born December 25, 1920 in the Bronx, New York City, he was the son of the late Alexander Naguszewski and Zofia Mieldzioc Naguszewski. He was a World War II veteran and after the war attended NYU where he earned both a bachelors and masters degree in mechanical engineering.
He was devoted to our country, having personally vowed that our country would never be unprepared for war again. Mr. Naguszewski worked for the Brooklyn Navy Yard and developed protocols which reduced driveshaft failures and then worked at Picatinny Arsenal for 20 years as team leader for special projects.
Mr. Naguszewski was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for 25 years and lector for many of those years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Men’s Prayer Group.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Zofia, sisters, Helen and Frances, and his precious Fluffy.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary, of 61 years; his sons, William and daughter-in-law Glendene, and Robert and daughter-in-law Tanya; his granddaughters, Anna and Sophie; his little Reggie, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Monday, September 28, 2015, at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rome, GA, with Fr. Edward Danneker officiating. There was a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Daniel’s Funeral Home, Rome, followed by visitation from 6 until 8 p.m.
A committal service will be held at a later date in St. Mary’s Memorial Garden.
