Mrs. Karlovich was born in Rome on November 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Ferman Floyd Chapman and Louise McCurry Chapman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Chapman, formerly of Cedartown.
Her many affiliations included UDC, General P.M.B. Young Chapter; DAR, Xavier Chapter, past Regent; Daughters of 1812, General John Floyd Chapter, Hon. VP General, past President of GA Society; Dames of the Court of Honor, Hon. National VP General/life, Hon. Georgia President/life, past Chaplain General; Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars; National Society Sons and Daughters of Antebellum Planters; National Society of Sons and Daughters of Pilgrims, Organizing Secretary General; Colonial Dames of the 17th Century; First Families of Georgia; Sons and Daughters of the Colonial Antebellum Bench and Bar; The Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manaquin in the Colony of Virginia.
Mrs. Karlovich earned her pilot’s license and was certified in airplanes, seaplanes, gliders and hot air balloons.
She is survived by her son, James Karlovich, and his wife, Rebecca Karlovich; and grandchildren Meghan and Wyatt Karlovich.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the graveside in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. G. Donald Black officiating.
The family received friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 until 10:45 a.m.
