Wren Rose Goodwin, 14, of Garfield, Arkansas, went home to the Lord on February 10, 2024. She was born April 3, 2009, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Zack and Megan Goodwin. Wren was a freshman at Rogers Heritage High School and a varsity starter on the girls wrestling team. She enjoyed wrestling and was quickly advancing her skills, but she loved the comradery of her team more. She was a friend to everyone and was known for her witty one-liners, her intelligence, and her sweet demeaner. Wren enjoyed baking for her family and experimenting with sewing. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoying God’s creation by hiking, riding bike trails, and swimming with her siblings. She was a second mom to her little sister and took time to play barbies, sew with her, watch favorite kid’s shows, or play X-box. They were often found snuggled side by side in the recliner or watching Wren’s phone, on her bed. Wren’s love for her brothers and little sister were unmatched and it shined in the moments they were together.
Our “Wrenny Roo” loved one-on-one dinners out with dad. She liked to lift weights with her mom at the gym and then get lunch and go shopping, including Myna, for an all-day girl’s day. Wren lived a very active and loving life, spending time hitting the trails, walking to the creek, collecting wildflowers, tending to the animals at home, working out and shopping, or wrestling with her team.
Wren is survived by her loving parents, Zack and Megan, her big brothers, Briar and Hawk, her little sister, Myna Goodwin, grandparents Rowel and Debi Goodwin, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Steve and Connie Robinson.
Visitation will be Monday, February 19, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm and funeral services at 3:00 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church, 2555 South 26th Street, Rogers, Arkansas. Please join our family in remembering our vibrant and beautiful red-headed Wren Rose.
