Scotty Charles Bennett, 50, of Los Angeles, CA passed away on January 17, 2021 in Bentonville, AR. He was born on April 14, 1970 in Huntsville, Alabama. He left this world, far better than he found it - surrounded by his mom, dad, sisters Davie and Shannon, BIL Mike and his BFF Jeremy after a long, hard battle with liver cancer.
Scotty was a graduate of Grissom High School in Huntsville, AL and attended Auburn University. He lived in AL, FL, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco & Los Angeles – eventually settling in California for the last 20 years. He made a career in Retail Sales – working first at Castner Knot, then Cole Haan, Salvatore Ferragamo, John Vervatos and lastly at Paul Smith where he was the #3 salesman worldwide. He lived in Los Angeles and enjoyed sharing his latest star sightings with family and friends.
Scotty loved to travel and see new places – often packing his car and dogs and setting out on an adventure.
He loved BMW’s – especially “Casper” – his white convertible. He has a BMW logo tattoo and even has a BMW bicycle.
He was very charismatic and always the life of the party! We will miss his smile, his laugh, his beautiful brown eyes, and all the shenanigans and adventures we shared.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Mason and partner, Nicholas Hunter.
Scotty is survived by his mother, Connie (Campbell) Bennett and dad, David Bennett; of Huntsville, AL and sisters, Davie (Mike) Bennett-Kendall of AR, Shannon (Nancy) Simpson of Houston, and Stephanie (Anthony) Shaneyfelt of AL; nieces Ashley, Ginny & Anna and nephews Zed, Gavin & Ryan. He also had life sisters – Lori, Wendy & Rachel, and his best friend Jeremy Hansen.
