Richard graduated from Labette County High School in 1974. He worked with Flesh Company in Kansas for around twenty years, doing custom printing for local businesses and organizations. He met his wife, Becky Hodge, in Parsons, and the two were married on March 19, 1983. In 1992, Richard and Becky moved to Arkansas. Here, he worked for the Morning News for approximately twenty years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by: parents, Irvin and Ruth Hodge of Parsons, Kansas; Gladys Sears of Parsons; and brother, Terry Hodge of Parsons.
He is survived by: wife, Rebecca “Becky” (Johnston) Hodge of Gentry; three daughters, Erin Evans (Kevin) of Bentonville; Amanda Tunnell (Clifton Jr.) of Centerton; Alesia James (Chris) of Gentry; siblings, Sharon Clark (David) of Romeo, Michigan; Ron Hodge (Sherrie) of Parsons; Patrick Hodge; Steve Hodge. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
