A U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, he graduated from Neville Township High School in 1951, attended the University of Miami and earned a degree from Murray State University where he played baseball.
Rich was sales manager of Automobile Club of Southern California, owned and operated Monte Ne Inn for many years and sold real estate for Harris McHaney in Rogers. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where he was a Lector and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Rich volunteered at Mercy Hospital, served on the Benton County Board of Equalization and was a Constable of District 1 in Prairie Creek.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Shirley “Shirl” and is survived by his son, John (Cindy) Coleman of Rogers, daughter, Shirley (Doug) MacRae of Rogers, grandson, Coleman MacRae, granddaughters, Carsyn Coleman and Hannah Stone, brother, John (Pauline) Coleman and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 10 am in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
