Mara Lou Dunn Osgatharp

Mara Lou was born December 25, 1928 in Pike County, Indiana to Riley and Ruth (Hayes) Dunn.

Mara Lou married Owen Osgatharp in 1946; in 1953 they moved to Evansville, IN where Owen began a career with Whirlpool Corporation. They moved with Whirlpool to Ft. Smith, Arkansas in 1971 and retired to Rogers in 1983.

Mara Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Owen in 2009 after 63 years of marriage; and one grandson.

Mara Lou in survived by five daughters, Lynn Osgatharp of Bentonville, Sharon Bruno (Curtis) of Lowell, Carol (Tom) Kauppila of Ferndale, WA, Susan Erickson (Jeffrey) of Rogers, and Robyn Pryor of Carrolton, TX; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A celebration of Mara Lou’s life will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 3pm at the 1st Christian Church of Rogers, officiated by Rev. Shawn Wallace.

Cremation was by Rollins Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral .com. Mara Lou will be buried at a later date at Vincent Christian Church Cemetery in Pike County, IN, beside her husband, parents, and grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Vincent Christian Church, 8264 E State Hwy 56, Otwell, Indiana 47564, or to a local children’s hospital.
