Jon was a strong, courageous man who was passionate about God, his country, and his family. He served in the Navy for four years, from 1988-1992. During this time, he was honored with several prestigious awards, such as the National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Star, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Jon was proud to serve his country, and his bravery and resilience will never be forgotten.
For many years of his life, Jon lived in Clarksville, AR. It was here he met his wife, Crystal; they were married in 2006, and spent 18 years of their lives together, loving one another and raising a wonderful family. Jon was also a godly man, and he made sure to put God above everything. He was a member of Hedgeway Church in Clarksville, AR for several years, and more recently attended The House Church in Rogers. He was a devout Christian until the day that he passed, and he spread the word of God to many people throughout his lifetime.
Jon worked at Hanes for 15 years, and moved to Bentonville in 2022 to be a driver for Aramark. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking delicious meals for his family and friends. He was also talented at woodworking, and would spend hours hand-crafting his products. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Yoder.
Jon is survived by: his loving wife, Crystal; sons, James Yoder (Ashley) of Kentucky, Lance Yoder (Makayla) of Arkansas, Henry Yoder of Rogers, Seth Campbell (Alexxa) of Vilonia, AR, and Joshua Gearhart of Clarksville; daughter, Jacquelyn Bateman (Jordan) of Clarksville; mother, Catherine Yoder Wallace; brother, David Yoder (Carla) of Nevada; sisters, Linda Yoder of Rogers, and Susan Smith of Bentonville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A visitation will be held on May 12, 2023 at Rollins Funeral Home from 9:00-10:00am, with funeral service immediately to follow at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held on May 20, 2023 at Hedgeway Church in Clarksville, AR at 10:00am.
