Terry was a lifelong resident of Merritt Island. He enjoyed fishing, boating, diving, and four-wheeling. But most of all -Terry loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet Tate; daughter Sarah Tate-Pace, son-in-law Michael Pace, son Jonathon Tate, granddaughter Madeline Crouse; brothers William Tate and Bobby Tate, Sister Tina Tate, Mother Alma Tate, and his beloved dogs Isabelle, Copper, and Amber.
Terry spent almost 5 years in the US Navy which included tours to Japan and San Diego, CA. Following his time in the Navy, Terry worked as a lead calibration technician for 26+ years at Kennedy Space Center during the Shuttle Program.
Terry was larger than life, living every second to the fullest. He was always quick to smile and share a joke.
Terry was preceded in death by his infant son Matthew Tate, father William Tate, mother and father in law- Teresa and John Brokowski.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 8th, 2017 1pm-3pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial in Rockledge, FL; Funeral service immediately following at the same location. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial immediately following his service.
