Shirley Arlene Kidd Roberts went home to be with The Lord on December 22, 2024, due to breast cancer. Shirley was born June 15, 1931, in Beloit, Wisconsin, to the late Frederick William and Mary Katherine (Relph) Kidd.
She graduated with honors from Beloit High School in 1949. Shirley moved to Florida in 1953. She was a secretary for several construction firms that built houses in South Florida. She married Lynn Davidson Roberts on June 23, 1961, in Hollywood, FL. Shirley and Lynn moved to Brevard County in 1970 and resided in Rockledge and then Titusville. They were married for 45 years until Lynn died in 2006. In 2020, Shirley moved in with her daughter to live in Citrus Co., FL. She enjoyed classic movies, dancing, cooking, and painting.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Marlin Kidd, sisters Bernice Kidd Fortman, and Mary Ellen Kidd Kniprath, nephew, Robert Kniprath and his daughter Shelly, and niece Janeen Kniprath Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Cheri Roberts Herald, of Beverly Hills, FL; son, Scott Davidson Roberts, and fiance Susan Carney of Melbourne, FL; granddaughters, Carrie Neuman Noll, of Stephenville, TX; Christina (Mike) Neuman Torrieri, great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Ahlanna Torrieri, of Spirit Lake, ID; step-granddaughter Feleshia Herald Wegner and her children, Logan and Anelisa of Beverly Hills, FL; nephew, Philip (Karen) Fortman, of Davie, FL; niece Dayna (Dale) Kidd Wisniewski, of Hartford, WI; widow of nephew Robert Kniprath, Susy Marquis Kniprath and her grandson Ian Bell of Waynesville, NC, great-niece Marykim (Loren) Smith Brown of Rockledge, FL, and her sons Kristopher (Beth) Brown and children, Brandon Brown, and Markym Brown; Great-niece Debby Smith Moone of Viera, FL, and her children Brittany Branch-Smith and Leah Moone; widower of niece Janeen Smith, Frank Smith of Viera, FL; great-nephews Philip Eric Fortman of FL, and Adam Seckinger and children, Jasmine, Lennon, and Haven Seckinger of MI.
