Dr. Wasserman earned her B.S. in education from Boston University, M.A. in counselling from Ball State University (Overseas Program) and PsyD (Doctor of Psychology) from Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech). The study and practice of psychology were her life’s calling. She was in private practice in Melbourne. In her earlier career endeavors, she worked as an elementary school teacher, guidance counselor to military people seeking to advance their education, and as a parent educator in a special learning program for pre-kindergarten children.
Her interests included reading, learning, and Book Club. She loved art, music, visiting museums, and traveling. Her favorite destinations were the National Parks. Maxine most enjoyed spending time with family (mostly her grandchildren) and friends.
Maxine will be remembered for her beautiful smile, wit, sense of humor, her boundless love for her family, and her positive attitude and fun-loving nature that touched the lives of many. Though she may no longer be with us, her legacy of love and kindness will endure through the countless lives she has touched. She will be missed by those who knew her well and loved her.
Maxine’s services will be held at the Life Event Center of Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South U.S. 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, starting at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 1.
