Marion M. Duch

Marion M. Duch, born July 13, 1925 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Stephen and Mary Firmender, passed peacefully to be with the Lord on December 4, 2010. Marion is survived by her daughter, Beverly Bragg (Everett) of Melbourne, FL; son, Edward John "EJ" Duch (Robin); two grandchildren, Candice Langhans (James) from Holly Hills, NC and Jeff Bragg from Melbourne, FL; eight great-grandchildren, Faith, Andrew, Matthew, Benjamin, Samantha, Noah, Brandon and Hailey Rose; one sister, Dorothy Egerton from Stratford, CT; and a brother, Buddy Firmender (Nell) from Asheville, NC; two sisters-in-law, Joan Firmender, from Stratford, CT and Marge Carlton from Fairfield, CT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Duch, a decorated Air Force Officer/Pilot, who served his country for 24 years; and a brother, Stephen Firmender from Stratford, CT. Marion was a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Eau Gallie, FL. She also was volunteer at the youth centers at the various bases her and her husband were stationed at, along with volunteer work for the American Red Cross and various hospitals. She enjoyed her military life with her husband and the excitement of the traveling all over the world and making new friends along the way. Marion was loving and generous in body and spirit. Our lives will go on without her physical presence but her spirit and our memories of her will live with us forever. We love you more Mom, Nanny and Great Nanny. The family will receive friends Friday, December 10. 2010 at 10 - 11 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.
