Lynda Joyce Solien-Wolfe, of Merritt Island, Florida passed away at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, FL on April 15th, 2023, at the age of 59 after a courageous 5-year health battle. She was most proud of her son Colton Mitchel Wolfe, who was her primary caregiver during her difficult times. Lynda was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on January 22, 1964, to parents Robert and Patricia (Galloway) Solien both preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Brevard County, growing up on Merritt Island. Linda had 3 siblings; Mitchel Solien who passed early in life. Kelly Solien Cunningham of Cocoa Beach, and her brother Craig Solien of Merritt Island. She was a proud Aunt to her niece Kyndal Moran Solien of Orlando and her nephew Brian J. Cunningham of Mystic, CT.
Lynda graduated from Space Coast School of Massage in 1993, which started her successful career in spreading awareness of the positives of massage therapies to consumers and medical professionals. Lynda and Leann Earle opened an office together, called Massage Therapy Associates of Brevard in Merritt Island, Florida. Massage was the foundation that springboarded Lynda into her true calling…..Promotional work and Marketing.
Lynda is the founder of the Solwolfe Resource Group, Inc., a business development consultancy specializing in the massage and wellness markets. In 1996, while at a massage convention, Lynda met John Fanuzzi, owner of Golden Ration Woodworks, fine spa and massage equipment manufacturing company, where Lynda would serve as Public Relations Director. Golden Ration was the beginning that facilitated the growth of her talents, and which would lead Lynda to further the expansion of several companies. Lynda met the owners and manufacturers of a pain-relieving gel product called Bio-Freeze. Lynda’s enthusiasm, unique ideas and networking efforts facilitated Bio-freeze to eventually become a successful company called Performance Health; a brand name now encompassing companies such as BonVital, TheraBand, TheraPearl, Cramer, and BioFreeze.
Her business allowed her to travel the world to conventions, seminars, and educational forums to such destinations as New York, Greece, Russia, India, Morocco, Paris and countless other wonderful places, always proclaiming the message of massage therapy.
While working at the massage therapy office in Merritt Island, Lynda and LeAnn’s daughter Alexandra decided to create a mural on the office door titled “Massage Makes Me Happy”. Eventually, Lynda would create a logo with her son Colton, and there began the MASSAGE MAKES ME HAPPY Initiative of the Global Wellness Institute which aims to celebrate the healing touch of massage. Known for her dedication to massage, her ability to create relationships, and a trilling, vivacious, and one-of-a-kind laugh. Lynda will be missed dearly around the world but her great talents, efforts, love, and contagious never give up attitude will live on forever.
