He was born on March 24, 1921 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and moved to Florida in 1972. He served in the US Navy during WW II, and worked for DuPont in Kearny, New Jersey for a short time. He went to work for Brevard County School transportation and retired in 1988.
John was preceded in death by his parents; John and Dorothy James, and his first wife; Margaret F. James. He is survived by his wife; Dorothy A. James of Florida, his son; John III and his daughter-in-law; Susan of Pine Beach, New Jersey, two grandsons; Eric and Michael James, and two granddaughters-in-law; Christine and Ann Marie. He also leaves two great grandchildren; Madelyn and Alec James, all from New Jersey.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 5PM at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US HWY 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. Interment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens.
Bless him, he never gave up living.
