As I reflect on the last few days, I am reminded of how blessed I was to be a part of Jack's Team. Jack Robinson was a man who loved people. Whenever he went somewhere, if he knew someone in that town, they would get a call or a visit from Jack. 
He loved family reunions, to catch up with family members, talk about simpler times and eat "home -cooking"-- it's where I first learned about fried cornbread.  
If you ever came to visit from out of town, you could be guaranteed a car wash before you left, a lesson on what you could mix with left over coffee, an assortment of cereal choices and of course candy bargains from the previous holiday that he would tell you to "tear into it". If you were lucky, you also got to ride in his 1963 Chevy, without seat belts!
He was a devoted Auburn fan and passed that passion on to his family!
He was a coach to his son's teams, church team and even pitched up into his 70's.
He was a mentor to those who needed a little help a long the way and he always had a listening ear.
He was the best Papa to his grandkids and great grandkids.
He was a devoted servant leader to his church for over 50 years.
He loved his wife and family so deeply, even fighting until the end to have that one last moment with them.
He was not just my father-in-law who I loved to eat Christmas popcorn with, he was a dad to me! 
I can only imagine the reunion he is having in Heaven. Heaven has gained a devoted teammate, but I am thankful I was a part of his earthly team.  You will always be in my heart dad! Love and miss you deeply!

Sweet Sandy, So sorry to hear of Jack's passing on Sunday. He was one of my hero's. I been thinking a lot about you both lately... I loved to hear Jack pray. The very first time I heard Jack speak was at one of our special celebration dinners and I was so moved how he shared his heart. He was a precious man and a giant for Jesus. I love you, Sandy. You and your family are in my prayers. Jack will be missed!

Dear Sandy, So sorry to hear of Jack's passing.  He was one of the sweetest men I know.  Always had a smile on his face and willing to help in anyway he could.  My son Michael was on his softball team and enjoyed Jack and his coaching very much.  Our thoughts and prayers are being lifting up for you.

Today the world woke up without a certain Jack Robinson in it. A man that every father, husband, and brother aspires to be: Mild-mannered, quiet-serving, ever-laughing, and boldly loving. He loved people and cracked up at silly jokes like, "Do you know how long cows should be milked? The same as short ones!" Who loved Auburn football nearly as much as he loved his God, was an MVP softball player and farm boy who loved tending a garden. He was the quintessential grandfather, doing things that grossed us out like mixing his coffee, tea and coke together and fun things like delivering flowers in an old turquoise truck. He loved old cars and westerns. He loved his wife of nearly 60 years and his family. And we loved him. He fought hard to live as much life as he could, as he cherished it so and lived it well. Today, he no longer struggles, but we do. May we honor your legacy of a life well lived, Jack Robinson, my grandfather. Ase.

We didn't have enough of your smiles, hugs and help in any way, shape, or form; your jokes, giggles, and belly laughs til tears run down your face.

We didn't have enough of your softball playing, car washing and vegetable gardening; your road trips to Auburn football games, your War Eagle! and Golden Corral.

We didn't have enough of your Moon Pies, candies and out of season Big Lots snacks; your cereal concoctions, coffee mixes and Taco Bell.

We didn't have enough of your great stories, your trivia game answers, and chicken grilling; watching Auburn softball, old westerns and any sport with a former Auburn player.

We didn't have enough of seeing your serve your church, your extended family and anyone in need; your "Where are your from?", "Do you know so and so?", and "Did I tell you about...?".

We didn't have enough of your flower delivering, your antique car appreciation and loud snoring; your presence at the head of the table, or in your chair, or stretched out on the floor.

We didn't have enough of your love, tenderness, and unconditional acceptance.

But, we know where you are and we know that one day we'll have plenty of time to catch up on all we've missed.

Kindness, that's what I think of when I think of Jack and Sandra.  We were new to First Baptist when it was located in downtown Melbourne. Sandra gave us diaper coupons she had cut from the paper for us.  Jack kept inviting me to softball and I finally went. I told him I had a glove but no cleats so jack gave me a pair to use. To a young couple knee deep in raising young children, they were kind, sincere and made Jeannine and I feel like family. They are the Godly roll models we aspire to be! Dear Robinson family, my prayers and thoughts are with you during this time. I never knew Jack, however I've learned from Aubree that he was an amazing man and will be greatly missed. May peace be with you knowing he is now in Heaven.

Oh Mr. Jack....I am so sad to hear of your passing. Working at Designs of the Times Florist with you was so rewarding. You always greeted everyone with a smile when you came into work. After I left there, you would deliver flowers to Fountainhead Funeral Home for a service,and you would always make it a point to pop in and wave with that big smile on your face. The highlight of my day! You and Sandra even came to my wedding! I can't believe it is my turn to go to your funeral! 
May you rest in peace and enjoy the Auburn games from the best seat in the house!

I met Jack in Osan Korea in January1954.  We were Air Force Radio Operators at 5th Air Force HQ in Seoul and Osan.  We built our own Transmitter site in 10° weather.  After we both left the Air Force we stayed in touch by notes on Christmas cards.  In 1973 I was transferred to Atlanta and Jack and Sandy met us for lunch one day in the Atlanta area in 2004.  Jack was a great guy and a good friend.  I'm sure Jack was a devoted Christian.  Jack's passing is the world's loss.

I have known Jack and Sandy for many years,in Church, Choir and Baseball Games.
My heart aches for Sandy and the family, but rejoices in knowing Jack is now resting in the arms of his loving and caring Lord.

Sandra, Vicki, John and Keith and families....sending all my love.  There was not a more dear and Godly man in all my childhood and youth than Jack.  The fond memories that flooded my mind when I learned he had gone to his heavenly reward were many.   What a blessing he was to so many people.  We will never know the lives that were changed because of Jack and his witness.  Your family was so dear to my parents   I'm glad to know they are rejoicing in Heaven with Jack.
