Gloria-June was born in 1934 in Portland, Maine, and was a woman of faith. She was a member of Malabar Baptist Church and a daughter of the Nile. Gloria-June worked at Patrick air force base as a secretary for over 20 years. She was predeceased by Gerald Bennett. Gloria-June was often described as a light in the darkness with her infectious laughter and selfless personality. She made it her life’s purpose to help others by volunteering her time at Palm Bay Community Hospital for many years. She loved animals and had the privilege of owning many pets, her last dog was named Buddy. Gloria-June enjoyed watching ballet, her favorite was The Nutcracker. Her favorite color was purple. Gloria-June adored going to the salon and getting all dolled up in her free time. As a woman, she was generous, loving, and kind. She believed that everyone deserved a chance at love and happiness. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
We know that we can’t have you but we’re happy knowing that you are no longer suffering and in the arms of the Lord. Goodbye to one of the most extravagant women we have ever known.
Gloria-June never had the privilege of having her own children, but she is survived by her step-daughter Natalie whom she adored like her own.
There will be a service for those who would like to say their final goodbyes to Gloria-June on the 7th of September at 11 am, at Florida Memorial.
