St. John, at the age of 80 with wife and loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife,
Sharon Campbell Killen of 55 years.
Father to Stephen Killen (Rhea), Ginger Stahl, Michael Killen (Donna), Susan Woodard,
Johnny Killen (Angela) and Timothy Killen (Amy).
Grandfather to Brandy, Matthew, Alexander, Stephen, Valerie, Christopher, Nicole, Allison,
Michael and Trevor.
Great Grandfather to Rogue, Braelynn, Lynneah, Gabriel and Luca.
Predeceased by his parents, John Killen, Verna Perkins and siblings, Bruce, Tracey, Ralph Sr.,
Kenny, Lucille, Melvin, Arvee, Carolyn, Harold and Billy. Surviving siblings, Bob Killen, Ina
Dofflemyer, Linda Gudding, and Rita Lovette. He was loved by many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Jacksonville, NC and moved to Port St. John in 1989.
Garland served in the Army from August 1963 to July 1970, with a tour in Korea in 1964 and
another tour in Vietnam in 1966-1967. He was a member of the American Legion and
Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved to play guitar and harmonica, listening to country music,
playing golf, exercising, collecting coins, traveling in the motorhome, and taking cruises. He
loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved taking out his special brother-in-law Mr Witt (Bobby) to dinner.
Friends and family will be received at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial (5950 US
Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL 32955) on Monday, January 22. Visitation starts at 1 PM, followed
directly by services at 2 PM, followed by an onsite burial.
