Duncan “Blake” Parker, 62, of Rockledge, Florida, passed away suddenly on July 22, 2022, surrounded by family. Blake was born on November 26, 1959 to the late Gene C. Parker, Sr., and Elizabeth D. Parker.
He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Michael Parker. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Eileen (King) Parker, his daughter, Amanda C. Parker, daughter, Rachel Morgan and son Joshua Parker; grandchildren, Kyleigh and Liam, his brothers: Gene C. Parker, Jr., and wife, Stephanie; John M. Parker and wife, Laura; William “Scott” Parker and wife, Colleen; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles; and his beloved grand-dog Sadie.
Blake worked 44 years at Kennedy Space Center. He worked at Rockwell placing tile on STS-1, the first orbital space flight of NASA’s Space Shuttle program. He then worked at United Space Alliance as a Quality Engineer until the end of the Space Shuttle program in August of 2011. He was excited to retire and spend his time doing the things he enjoyed with family and friends, boating, fishing, talking (if you knew him you get this!) and traveling/cruising.
Blake was a loving husband, father and “Pop-Pop” and was adored by his grandchildren. His kindness and caring soul showed through his contagious smile and great personality. He was always helping others. He will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him.
