Taylor L. Houston, 87, of Winnebago, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 5, 1935 in Rockford, IL, the son of Taylor Eugene and Luella Loretta (Miller) Houston
Taylor married the love of his life, Betty Roach on August 1, 1959 in Rockford, IL. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather who loved fishing, birdwatching, and making people laugh.
Taylor is loved and missed by his children, Susan (Michael) Larson, Tyler (Tessa) Houston; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister, Arlene Gordon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his wife, Betty in 2018, children, Lynda Houston, James Houston and Timothy Houston and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
