Nancy Duncan, born May 20, 1940 in Haleyville, AL; daughter of Albert and Josephine Loden. A true Alabama sweetheart, she stole George's "Buddy's" heart as a stick twirling majorette with great legs. Devoted wife for 58 plus years, a fiercely protective mother, loving grandmother, and proud great-grandmother, she will be forever loved and missed.
So many things will always make us think of her: George Strait, SHOES, purses, Brett Favre and the Manning brothers, chocolate cake, plants, SHOES, caffeine free diet Pepsi, dogs, Trinidads, earrings, Gaithers, pear preserves, Elvis Gospel, SHOES, Gene Watson, tic tacs, biscuits and gravy, Snow Village, nail polish, SHOES, fear of snakes, and always waving goodbye at the window.
Though Nancy passed away after a battle with cancer on November 28, 2014, her memory will forever live on with her family striving to make banana pudding as good as hers, beginning to listen to Christmas music once it snows, and envisioning her cheering in her Roll Tide sweatsuit every time Bama takes the field.
Left behind are her husband, George; children, Diana (Tom) Gilbertson, Danita (Mike) Gruber, Brian (Carolle) Duncan and Mark (Julie) Hepworth; grandchildren, Jessica and Nick Gilbertson and Marissa (Konrad) Korth; great-grandchild, Kyler Korth; brother, Tommy (Joanne) Loden; family and friends.
