John Alan Ware Sr. "JAWS"

John A. Ware, Sr., “JAWS” 61, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday afternoon, May 11, 2023. He was born December 30, 1961 in Rockford, IL, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Dusing) Ware. John was an entrepreneur of many things and the owner of “The Car Fixers.” He was the rock and the patriarch of our family. John loved his family and would do anything for them. He was an amazing cook, especially when he made pizza potatoes, Italian beef, jerky and lasagna. John was a collector of many things. He enjoyed racing, riding motorcycles and ATVS with family and friends. John will be remembered for his sense of humor, sarcasm and his badass persona!

John is loved and deeply missed by his father, Robert (Patty); children, John “Buddy” Ware, Jr., Nena Ware and Jacob Ware; his baby girl, Marsha; raised as his own, Brian Downs and Nicole Jackson; grandchildren, Jackson, Beau, Jr., Savannah, Gracie and Mia; siblings, Robert Ware, Jr., Linda (Jack) Dohrer and David Ware; nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Andrea) Lozdoski, Jason (Tiffany) Lozdoski, Chantel (Mike Hamilton) Ware, Damian Ware, Anthony Ware, Aimee Lowe, Deanna Ware, Porsche Ware, Bart Ware and Linzee (Levi) Ell; special friend Michael Sandona; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, grandparents and friends, Gary Lane and Jeremy “Bucky” Henrey.
