Christopher A. Givhan, 62, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. He was born on December 20, 1961, in Beloit, Wisconsin. Christopher married Charlotte Kidwell in July of 1983. He was a nuclear engineer for many years. He enjoyed watching football and cheering on the Washington Commanders (formerly known as the Redskins). He also liked to go golfing and watch the sport.
He is survived by his mother, L. Maxine Givhan; wife of 41 years, Charlotte Givhan; children, Amy Givhan, Arik Givhan Sr., and Amber Givhan; grandchildren, Davina Givhan, Teontrae Givhan-Brown, and Arik Givhan Jr.; great-grandchild, Exavier Hunt; brother, Timothy Givhan; aunts, Floyd Givhan and Betty Hammer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Givhan.
