Julian Arredondo

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10 AM – 1PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hodgsonfuneralhome.com.

Julian was born July 31, 1989, in Dallas. He was a graduate of Haltom High School class of 2007 of National Honors and was ASPIRE teacher for Haltom City High School for 2012-2013. He was a finalist in playwriting, Live Cedar League of Tarrant County and Junior Thespian. He was previously employed at Pappadeaux's in Fort Worth and was currently working for the Texas Outdoor Musical, Palo Duro Canyon State Park. He was a member of the International Thespian Society, in choir and theater, and was awarded the Texas Christian University Nordan Scholarship for theater.

He graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University in 2011 with a BFA in fine arts with emphasis on theater. He was a Nordan Scholar and received the Activity Grant, Production Grant, TCU Scholarship, Ann Weeks Jackson Award for Musical Theatre in spring 2010 and National Association of Teachers Signing Musical Theatre Winning spring 2010 He was a member of Haltom Road Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Julian Arredondo, and grandparents, Roy and Viola Phegley.

Survivors: Father, Joseph Arredondo; mother, June Arredondo Bush; brothers, Joey Arredondo and Shawn Bush; sister, Shannon Bush Boeset; six aunts; and two uncles.
