William P. “Bill” Lauder, 42 of Economy Borough, passed on Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was born March 24, 1969 in Aliquippa, son of William Lauder and the late Connie (Phillips) Lauder. Bill was a graduate of Quaker Valley High School and Robert Morris University. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Iraq War in Operation Desert Storm. Bill was a member of American Legion, Headquarters Post 945, Harrisburg, PA. Bill was most recently employed by Westinghouse as an Inventory Specialist.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Connie (Phillips) Lauder in 1999; and a niece: Krista K. Lauder in 2003.
Bill is survived by his father: William; his brother: Robert Ashcom Lauder, Sewickley; his sister and brother-in-law: Belinda and John Bigley, Gibsonia; and nephew: Christian Bigley. Bill was often affectionately called “the brother I never had” by many friends from numerous walks of life. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum), with a service to immediately follow the visitation. In honor of his wishes, he was cremated with inurnment in the John F. Kennedy Garden at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
