Eric enjoyed the outdoors and all sports. He was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and in his earlier years liked fishing. Eric was a talented man who was great at working with his hands, particularly woodworking. His children will long cherish the wood crafts that Daddy made for them. Eric was employed with Nelson Tree Service.
Surviving to celebrate his life and mourn his loss are his fiancée, Ashley Cunningham, and their three children: Sidney Rose Stumpf, Chase Patrick Stumpf and Chance Taylor Stumpf, who were all the love of his life. Eric is also survived by his father and stepmother: James H. and Gloria (Rozzi) (Soubra) Stumpf, New Castle; his sister and brother-in-law: Nicole and Andrew Fitzgerald, Chippewa Township; a step brother: Jamal (Janine) Soubra, New Castle; step sister: Jenna (John) Mozzocio, New Castle; Maternal Grandfather: Ralph A. Bonzo, Chippewa Township; his future mother-in-law and father in-law: Deanna and Paul Cunningham, McDonald, PA; and sister-in-law: Hillary Cunningham also of McDonald; two nieces and three nephews(children of Nicole and Andrew Fitzgerald): Hailey, Michaela, Tristan, Kyle and Jacob.
Friends will be received, Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A brief service will conclude the visitation. Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Sidney, Chase and Chance Stumpf Memorial Fund that has been established at PNC Bank. Contributions to the fund can be made by visiting any PNC branch or through mailing a contribution to any PNC Branch referencing the Memorial Fund.
