Deloris I. Morell

Deloris I. Morell, 91, of Rochester, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 9, 2014. She was born November 23, 1922 in New Brighton, daughter of the late Walter and Norah (Smith) Bott. During her years of employment, Deloris was employed in the sterile processing department of the Beaver County Medical Center.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was blessed to live a long life and also enjoy great and great great grandchildren. Deloris was a woman of faith and a member of Unionville United Methodist Church. Her late husband Joseph was a veteran so Deloris was an Auxiliary Social Member of the Rochester American Legion Post for many years. Family and friends affectionately called her “Aunt Dib".

In addition to her parents and husband Joseph, Deloris was preceded in death by two daughters: Margaret Canzano and Lucy Jean Baker; one son: Donald K. Morell; a grandson: D.J. Morell; her brother: Wilmer Bott; and her sister: Zelma Mohrbacher.

Deloris is survived by her daughter-in-law: Shirley Morell, Montville, CT; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Marsha (Gregory) Wood, Bessemer, AL; Vincent (Leslee) Canzano, Rochester; Shelley (Jim) Keegan, Baltic, CT; Cher (Tracy) Golas, Montville, CT; Shane (Tara) Morell, Lisbon, CT; Jim (Vicki) Baker, Conway, AR; Michael (Merlene) Baker, Olive Branch, MS; Jeff Baker, Conway, AR; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews and extended family.

Friends will be received Monday, June 16, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum), with The Reverend Douglas B. Myers, Jr., Unionville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Church Cemetery.
