Tom loved music, especially the Beatles, and was learning to play the ukulele at the time of his passing. He loved road trips and bicycling and was an active supporter of the runners and walkers in the family. Tom had a weird and wonderful sense of humor and was a gifted amateur photographer. He had a crazy sweet tooth and never met an apple pie he didn’t like. His least favorite color was green, especially if it referred to a vegetable.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of Tom’s doctors and nurses at Moffitt Cancer Center, to the support groups at Tidewell Hospice, and especially to his Colony Cove family, who loved him and took exceptional care of him from the moment he joined their community.
In spite of the advances in modern medicine, and strong support from the many people who loved him, his love for Karen and desire to be with her was stronger. Ultimately, Tom died of the uncurable ache of a broken heart. May he rest in paradise with Karen and our other angels.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tom’s name: https://moffitt.org/give/ways-to-give/
