James A. Myers, The World’s Greatest Unknown Baritone passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Jane. He is survived by his daughters, Helen (James) Harwood, Mary (Mike) McEntee, Katie (Neal) Kent, and Margaret (Bob) Stilson; grandchildren, Christopher McEntee (Lauren Quigley), Colin Harwood, Caitlin Harwood, Andrew McEntee (Mallory Burke), Ben Stilson, Samantha Kent, Michael Stilson, and David Kent.
Jim was born February 14, 1926 in Chicago, Il. He was a proud WWII Veteran, serving as a medic with the US Army. He was passionate about many things; opera singing, orange popsicles, and endless salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden. Jim adored his family, and was always updating the masses on the latest achievement or anecdote of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our family wishes to thank the entire staff of Seabury Woods, who became his (and our) much loved extended family.
