Don was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna DeSantis; brother, Jack DeSantis; daughter, Jeanine Hampton; and grandson, Ricky DeSantis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Doris DeSantis; children: Doreen DeSantis, Donna Jacques, John (Mary Beth) Hampton, and Cheryl (Thom) Biehler; special grandchildren, Danielle Anderson, Erin McMann, and Earl McMann Jr.; as well as several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, working in communications and being stationed in England. Don would go on to work for and retire from Eastman Kodak. He enjoyed a nice long retirement. He was also an avid sports enthusiast and a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan. He loved going on fishing trips to Canada with his brother-in-law, and found the most joy in spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4-7PM at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 26th at 11:00AM at the Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
