Milton (Milt) Bobick, age 92, passed peacefully on October 13, 2021 and is survived by his children, Cheryl (Kurt), Jeff (Kathy), grandchildren Jeffrey and Michael, his dear Lenida, sister Catherine and sister-in-law Josephine. Milton is predeceased by wife, Dolores, siblings, John (Jane/Nora), Frank (Lorraine), Stanley (Edith), Rose (Pete), Mary (Chet), Leonard, and brother-in-law Carl.
On December 15th, 1928, Milton was born in Lincoln, Michigan to Polish immigrants, John and Catherine. He was delivered into this world by a midwife from the farm across the street. As years passed, he would spend time visiting this farm to get better acquainted with his midwife’s granddaughter, Dolores. Milton attended a one room school house in the country and shared chores on the family farm with his 7 siblings.
Joining the U.S. Air Force in 1950, Milton proudly served during the Korean War. On December 8, 1951 Milton married his midwife’s granddaughter Dolores, and was happily married for 51 years, until Dolores lost her battle to cancer.
Milton raised his family and built the family home while working for TACOM (Tank Automotive Command, US Army), where he enjoyed a career supporting our troops in a Materiel Readiness capacity. Utilizing expert woodworking skills, he proudly built and maintained his loving home. Nurturing those family farming skills, Milton and his ”John Deere” tractor passionately maintained one of the best looking lawns in the neighborhood. He was blessed to spend 54 years living in the home he loved, leaving only within the last few months to join a senior living community.
A man deeply proud of his children and two grandsons also found a new love in his life, with who he shared many new adventures. Exerting a passion for life and a spirit to persevere even during the hardest of times, he leaves an indelible mark on our lives. A man who was much loved will be missed, but never forgotten.
To honor his life, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the charity of your choice. Special organizations to Milton included the Michigan Humane Society, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society Michigan and the Alzheimer’s Association.
