Mary was born the daughter of Terry and Margaret (Schultz) McFall in Sevierville, Tennessee on October 12, 1932. Mary graduated from Sevier County High School, class of 1950 and was married to William Branam until they divorced. Mary raised her family in Madison Heights Michigan. She married Jim Ghysels in 1981 at Warren Woods Baptist Church and they lived in Plymouth for many years.
Mary loved Jesus and was a prayer warrior. She liked to read and knit. She was great a bingo and enjoyed playing it as much as she could.
Mary is survived by her daughter Vivian (Tim) Sikowski; grandchildren Sarah Carson, Shelby Johnson, Michael Johnson, Ryan (Jacklynn) Brock, Rachel (Michael) Butz, and Emily Brock; great-grandchildren Riley Butz, Everett Butz, and Willow Thompson; and sister Jackie Dinwiddie. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jim Ghysels; daughter Beverly Johnson, her parents; sister Juanita Malone; and brother Leonard McFall.
Mary’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Friday September 8th, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 9th, 2023 at 11 a.m. (10 a.m. instate) at Pixley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
