Judy is survived by her mother Gerrie O’Hair; children Alex (Bonnie Muszynski) and Daniel (Brian Vitone) Nichols; grandchildren Remy and Margot; and siblings Kate (Doug Bleier) O’Hair and Guy (Donna) O’Hair. She is predeceased by her father.
Judy was born the daughter of Virgil and Geraldine (Sheperak) O’Hair on September 14, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan. Judy graduated from Rochester Adams High School, class of 1972. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Michigan State University. Judy married Glen Nichols on July 29, 1978, in Rochester. Judy and Glen raised their family first in Rochester and later in Fenton. She had a career in educational technology for Berkley schools and later Oakland schools.
Judy’s passion was her grandchildren and her family. She was a fierce advocate for education and lifelong learner. She traveled the world with her husband and her friends.
Judy’s family will receive all for a visitation on Friday, September 2nd, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Interment will follow at Van Hoosen Jones Cemetery in Rochester.
