Jim was born to James and Violeta Aldridge on March 1, 1950, in Pontiac, Michigan. After high school, Jim went to Florida, where he first attended St. Petersburg College, followed by the University of Florida in Gainesville where he graduated, earning a Bachelors of Science in construction engineering.
Jim married Sylvia Aldridge (nee Seybold) on August 23, 1980. Jim and Sylvia went on to have two children, Jimmy and Adam Aldridge.
Jim had a successful career in HVAC mechanical engineering. Jim had a passion for photography, and especially loved to photograph family, flowers, and houses, finding beauty in the details. Jim also loved music, and was a big fan of rock and roll, particularly The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Eddie Van Halen. When Jim was younger, you would often find him at the Grande Ballroom, listening to rock and roll stars before they were famous. Outside of Jim's love of music and photography, Jim loved to laugh, and make others laugh. There was not a time that Jim did not have a joke ready to share.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Sylvia Aldridge, two sons; Jimmy and Adam (Jenny) Aldridge, and his brother Scott (Karen) Aldridge.
Jim will be laid to rest at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
