From the family,
Our One and Only…..Mom
Patty and I have been blessed to have been able to share in mom’s life in so many ways; especially these past 7 years in Charlotte, North Carolina. She brought us great Joy and
we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Mom was a lady who loved “all things Polish”! From Polish dancing, listening to her music, participating in the Polka Boosters Club, and following holiday traditions with her family; she was a Proud, Polish American.
Mom loved spending time with us...shopping, weekend breakfasts, Sunday mass/dinner, laughing together, and sharing her thoughts and memories. She helped us perfect our pierogi and stuffed cabbage, while keeping our Polish culture alive during holidays for the next generation.
Mom loved beautiful flowers and any shade of pink! Her friends and companions deemed her the “lady in pink” who was always put together from head to toe. She took pride in herself. She showered love and respect on those who cared for her, and was known to give them hugs and kisses as a Thank You. Her quick wit made those around her laugh, as did her attempts to teach them to speak Polish. Mom was known to sit in the front row for any entertainers that visited and would get up and dance with anyone willing. Everyone loved Miss Irene!
Without a doubt “Mom lives on in us”. We Love you, we Thank You, we have been blessed by your spirit and sacrifice over the years. We know that you took Cheryl and Dad’s hands and that you are enjoying a “Polka Party like no other” in heaven with all who love you.
Until we are together again,
Michele & Patty
“do widzenia”
