Eugene was born the only child to Eugene and Ethel Williams, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on February 13, 1937. Eugene and his family frequently moved, never settling in one place for too long, except for Aruba where the Williams family spent 3 years, and which became one of Eugene's favorite places. He and Beverly returned annually for many years. Eugene attended the University of Michigan first for his undergraduate degree, and after that for Medical School, graduating with his Medical Degree in 1962. In 1963 he was drafted to serve in the Army, where he served in the artillery as a captain and physician for three years, stationed in Germany. After leaving the Army, Eugene worked in private practice, as an internal medicine physician, then went to work with Health Alliance Plan before retiring.
Eugene met the love of his life, Beverly, when she was at Mackenzie High School, in Detroit, Michigan; Eugene and Beverly were married on August 31, 1958, and spent 66 amazing years together. During this time, Eugene and Beverly had two sons; Gene and Larry Williams. The whole family, as well as just Eugene and Beverly, loved to travel, and see the different cultures the world had to offer.
Eugene had a passion for photography, particularly 35mm film. On family vacations, Eugene would always be carrying around his camera, along with several different lenses. During his time living in Germany, Eugene developed a passion for collecting wines, which stayed with him his whole life.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Williams, sons; Gene (Dorothy) Williams, Larry (Connie) Williams, grandchildren; Gene (Margaret) Williams, Chris Williams, Catie Williams, Matt Williams, and Andrew (Sarah) Williams, and his nephew David (Levon) Shook.
The family of Eugene Williams will be holding a private service at this time.
