Elsie I. McGorman

Beloved mother of Janice (Hal) Brautnick, and Dale (Susan) McGorman; dear grandmother of Amy (Lance) Turpin, Jennifer (Col. Richard) Webster , Derek (Lynsay) Brautnick, and Chad (Michele) Brautnick; great-grandmother of Mason, Corinthia, Morgan, Daniel, Caroline, Julianne, Oscar, and Laurel; and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her parents Gale and Florence (Kunzi) Clark; and brothers Jerry, Don, Bernard, Frank, Bob and Ron Clark and sister Norma Duke.

Elsie was born in Rochester, Michigan on August 14, 1920. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1938 and married Jack Warren McGorman on October 5, 1940 in Rochester, Michigan. They raised their family in Rochester and Elsie worked as a cashier and bookkeeper at A&P for many years. In 1972 she and Jack moved to Englewood, Florida where she worked for the Englewood Bank until retirement. Her husband Jack passed away 1991. In 2000, Elsie remarried to Clifford Larsen who passed away in 2012.

Elsie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rochester for many years and a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Englewood, Florida, where she attended until returning back to Rochester in 2012. Elsie loved people and spending time with her family and friends, always entertaining or visiting them.

Elsie will lie instate on Monday, January 28, 2019, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 1011 W. University Drive in Rochester, Michigan. Interment will be in Florida.
