Elizabeth was born the daughter of George and June (Deep) Austin in New Castle, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1945. She graduated from New Castle High School, class of 1963, and married Richard Carr in the year 1969 in New Castle. Elizabeth was a trained hairdresser and a UAW member. She and Richard moved to Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Elizabeth had a career at General Dynamics for many years.
Elizabeth enjoyed cooking and talking about recipes. In earlier years, she love gardening and travel with her husband; especially to Alaska, Hawaii, cruises, and extensive road trips. Elizabeth was a devoted wife.
Elizabeth is survived by her sisters Mary Austin and Sylvia (Marshall) Baum; nephew David Baum; niece Lisa Baum; great-niece Jessica Baum, and great-nephews Jason and Jacob Baum. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Richard Carr and her parents.
