Doug married Alexis Jane (Smith) Glowe on June 14th, 1969 and they had 55 wonderful years together. Doug and Alexis met on the dance floor of the Coral Gables on Woodward, where he wooed her with his excellent dancing skills. Doug and Alexis loved spending their free time golfing and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Alexis, and two daughters, Heather Elise Glowe, Erin Michele Glowe (Scott Michael Pena), grandson Dominic Michael Pena, and brother-and-sister-in-law Steve and Judy Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Arthur Glowe.
For a man with the last name Glowe, it was only fitting that his wife, Alexis, spotted a shooting star on the night of his death. The family is content knowing that he is playing golf with many of his friends in heaven and is sure he will get back to football soon.
