David B. Herweyer, age 81, of Rochester, Michigan, passed away March 3rd, 2018. He was born October 4th, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. David graduated from Wayne State University with his Bachelor’s Degree and went on to work and travel abroad, for over 20 years, for Vickers Corporation. He was one of the founders of the Concours D’Elegance which was originated at Oakland University’s Meadowbrook Hall in 1978. David continued to be active with Meadowbrook Hall, along with providing 21 years of loyal service at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Rochester. He is survived by his daughter, Aimee, and husband Doug, Humphrey; his grandson Alex Firu; and his granddaughter Haley Humphrey. David was always known for his generosity and his positive influence. He was a role model to those around him and constantly put others before himself. There will be a Memorial Service for David on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at 1 PM, with Gathering starting at 12 PM (Noon) until time of service, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Rd., Rochester, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the daughter Aimee would be appreciated.
