It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David William Beerer Sr., who peacefully departed this world on January 14, 2024.
Born on April 11, 1940, David lived a life marked by resilience, faith, and a profound love for his family. Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he navigated life's journey with a charismatic spirit and a steadfast commitment to those he held dear. He met the love of his life, Donna Mitchell, at the Lee Road Baptist Church.
David graduated from Franklin College with a major in history and a minor in philosophy. His career began at Youngstown Sheet and Tube in Ohio, this moved him to St. Louis, Missouri. Rockwell International brought him to Rochester Hills, Michigan, where he raised his family and started his own business. He belonged to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where he was actively involved for over fifty years.
A devoted family man, David reveled in the roles of husband, father, grandpa, and poppy. He took great pride in witnessing the growth and accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Whether through shared anecdotes, sage advice, or a warm embrace.
Survived by his beautiful wife Donna Beerer, his sister Joyce Kardos, children Cindy (Wayne) Boylan, David (Carrie) Beerer Jr., Stacey (Doug) Kraus, grandchildren Ashley (Chris) Babisch, Christopher Boylan, Tyler Beerer, Trevor (Chloe) Beerer, Kyle Kraus, Allison Boylan, Brendan Beerer, Megan Kraus, Lauren Boylan, Elizabeth Beerer, Brett (Frankie) Beerer, his great-grandson Jackson Babisch, and cherished nieces and nephews.
A service to honor and remember David William Beerer Sr. will be held on January 20, 2024 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Rochester, Michigan. Friends and family are invited to attend. Visitation will begin at 10am, service to follow at 11am.
David will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
May David William Beerer Sr.’s soul rest in eternal peace, and may those who mourn find solace in the memories of his life.
