Douglas Junior Westmoreland

Douglas Junior Westmoreland, age 73, of Salem, Virginia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Preceding him in death were his parents, John T. and Cora Lee Westmoreland; brothers Harless and James Westmoreland, and sister Goldie Heck. Douglas retired after many years of service with Yokohama Tire Manufacturing in Salem. He enjoyed hunting, trail riding and spending time in nature. Left to cherish his memory are fiancé Brenda Horne and her son Brent; daughters Victoria Wolfe, Machelle Westmoreland, and Crystal Allen and husband David Allen, who was more of a son than son-in-law to Douglas; grandchildren Douglas Westmoreland, Jessica Westmoreland, Brittany and Justin Allen; great-grandchildren Noah and Joey Westmoreland. Also surviving are sisters Linda Altizer and Amanda Beckner, brothers Johnny Westmoreland, Roy Westmoreland (Vicky), and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at Enon Baptist Church, 7971 Williamson Road, Roanoke.
