Dana Frank Kincer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Frank Kincer, a man who truly embodied the essence of living life to the fullest and selflessly helping others. He departed this world on June 6, 2024, reuniting with his mother Geneva on her birthday. Dana was a beacon of kindness and compassion, always extending a helping hand to those in need. His love for animals, big and small, was unmatched. He found joy and purpose in caring for animals of all kinds, from his cherished pets, to stray animals and even local wildlife. He especially loved the squirrels and birds that lived in the tree by his garage; once dedicating a lot of time and care on a rescue squirrel he named Oscar. In his spare time, he could be found in his garage working on his hot rods. He had a knack for fixing things and would fearlessly tackle any challenge, and this determination and skill earned him the reputation of being able to fix anything. Dana enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and loved sharing stories and laughter over a drink. His unmistakable trademark Fu Manchu mustache was a symbol of his unique personality and unwavering spirit. He enjoyed spending time at the beach, especially Florida's Gulf Coast and would head south any chance that he got. He loved drag racing and would talk to anyone that would listen about his escapades racing his 1942 Rat Rod. Dana was the son of the late Frank and Geneva (Sutliff) Kincer. He was a 1971 graduate of William Fleming High School and was an honorably discharged veteran of the Army National Guard. Dana is preceded in death by his sister, Sherlene Gisiner Nimer and his brother, Mickey Kincer (Teresa). He is survived by his wife and companion of 43 years, Lisa Nickels-Kincer; son, Todd Kincer; grandchildren, Chase (Krystn) and Ashton Kincer; sister, Gerri Rorer; brother, Charlie Kincer; sister-in-law, Faye Nickels, furbabies Logan and CeCe as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family extends heartfelt thanks and gratitude to his primary physician Dr. Nobbee for his amazing care of Dana and for his compassion and warmth during our most difficult time. Special thanks to friends Scott Groves, Jeff Lumsden and Michelle Webb for their support and devotion to Dana. Dana leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity and perseverance that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and the community. In accordance with Dana’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services.
