Rosemary H. Grennan

Rosemary was an amazing sweetheart, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her departure has left a hole in our hearts. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to be surrounded by family, friends, and most of all her grandkids.

Rosemary was born December 31, 1946, to Harold D. Haight and Margaret Harvey. She passed away unexpectedly in her home on May 1, 2020, with the love of her life John by her side.

Rosemary met John F. Grennan in High school and they were married on February 17, 1966, in Salt Lake City. They were blessed with four amazing boys and six lovely grandchildren.

Rosemary was a talented artist and her paintings covered the walls of her home and those of her loved ones. She shared her amazing talent with her grandkids, teaching them to love art as much as she did. Anyone who met Rosemary loved her instantly. She made you feel special no matter what and was always first to cheer you on.

Rosemary loved to laugh and did so all the time with joy due to her crazy boys and husband who she always said: "He was the most fun". Following suit was her boys who never missed a chance to try and make their mother laugh like their father always did. Her joy made any and all gatherings complete.

Rosemary was one that would never stray from a long conversation. She was always easy to confide in, support you in your struggles, and back you up in your life’s efforts. She had a unique way of seeing those in most need of empathy and care, and would never shy from her goal to provide it. She celebrated her family’s joy, shared their tears, and comforted their concerns, making an impact that could not be quantified or compared.

In her love for her husband, her children grew up seeing the living model of lasting love, friendship, and marriage. As her family continued to expand Rosemary’s love grew with each new daughter that joined the family by marriage. This represented the never-ending limits of her capacity to love, support, and embrace those she graced with her love and affection.

One of Rosemary’s greatest joys came from being the grandmother of her grandchildren. She devoted her love and affection making a unique and special connection with each and every new addition to her family. Her nurturing and care can be seen in the creative arts, laughter, and loving embraces that made her family so special to all.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, John and children: Evan (Melissa), Brian (Jenn), and Doug (Jess). Grandchildren: Emily, Mason, Jameson, Oliver, Jayde, and Samuel. Her sisters: Diane Harris, Kathy (Gary) Hodgman. Sister-in-law, Nancy Haight, Brother-in-law, Pat Grennan (Jackie Bell).

Preceded in death by her son, John Chadwick Grennan, her brother, Bob Haight, her brother-in-law, Joe Harris, and her parents: Harold and Margaret Haight.
