She graduated from Cottonwood High School and attended some college, hoping to secure a nursing degree. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Michelle was known for her adventurous spirit and spent her life immersed in the beauty of nature and the rich tapestry of Native American history. She loved Alaska and cherished her visit there, she adored Yellowstone National Park and enjoyed many trips to that location. She got a kick out of amateur photography as a hobby. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan and was privileged to meet and have her picture taken with Karl Malone and John Stockton. She was very proud of that experience.
She treasured her family above all, created lasting memories with her nieces and nephews by showing up for their ball games, band and music performances, and supporting them in their school efforts. Her legacy of love and curiosity will live on in all who knew her.
Michelle remembered Christmas and birthdays, consistently sending cards to those that she loved. Even though resources were tight for her, she always figured out some little thing to give her family for Christmas or on special occasions. She helped everyone feel special, loved, and important.
She is survived by her sister, Shallon (Bryan) Atwood and her brother Kenny (Vanett) Brown, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends throughout her life.
Michelle was preceded in death by her mother Merilyn Brown, father Ray Brown, sister Sharmaine Swain, and her nephew Travis Atwood.
