RUDY RIVERA "HASBRO" Born March 16, 1948 in San Jose, CA, left behind his incredible life peacefully on February 27, 2013 to liver cancer with his loving wife, Diane, by his bedside. He is survived by his mother, Tommie Miranda (Raul, deceased), siblings Evelyn Ramirez (Angel), George Rivera, deceased (MaryLou), Frank, deceased, Richard (Stella), Ray (Barbara) and Leonard (Cindy); his children, Regina, Rudy, Jr, deceased, Che, deceased (Siouxzan), Vicente (Alexa), Juanita, Daniel (Veronica), Olivia (Abel) and Ruben. He was an amazing grandfather to Jake, Valerie, Isabel, Alexias, Serena, Unique, Monique, Rudy, III, Che and Delilah Love. He also leaves behind nine great-grandkids in addition to many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. For many years he was strongly involved and passionate about the Brown Berets, most recently in the local La Causa Chapter in Casa Blanca. He was a member of the Community Action Group and was very involved with the local youth groups. Many might remember when he worked for Park & Rec. in Casa Blanca as a life guard. He was a great storyteller and loved to dance and listen to music, especially if he was allowed to "join" any band playing on stage. He lived to ride his Harley with his wife, Diane, holding on tight as they made many runs together. Rudy definitely lived life to the fullest and "lived his life the way he wanted to." He was loved by many and will most certainly be missed by all. Services will begin at 9am on Friday, March 8 at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside followed by church services at St. Anthony's on Madison Ave. He will be laid to rest at the Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery, 1125 Rimpaul Ave., Corona.
