Ron Riddle

Ronald Eugene Riddle, age 59, passed away on May 25, 2015 in Corona, CA. He was born to John C. and Jean Lillian Riddle on November 3, 1955. He grew up in Covina, CA, and attended high school until the 9th grade, when he left school and attained his G.E.D. He always had to do things his way. He met the mother of his two eldest children, Debbie Stanley in 1971. His first born son, Ronald Anthony Riddle was born 2 years later and followed a year later by his sister, Elainna Elaine Riddle. Although they chose different paths in life, they stayed friends throughout the years.

Ron met Helen Marie Peters at Lake Havasu City on July 4, 1975. It was love at first sight. She had a friend pinch his butt as he walked by their table, and when he turned around, she was sitting there smiling from ear to ear. They were married in 1977 and 3 years later, they had their first son, Clayton John Riddle. A year later came Chad Jeremy Riddle. 4 years later they purchased what would become the home in which they would raise their family in La Habra, CA. The same year, their youngest son was born, Royce Chase Riddle.

From the time Ron earned his G.E.D., he was an entrepreneur who ventured in many directions that weren’t always above board, but were certainly lucrative. In 1985, he revisited his passion for masonry and created R&R Masonry Inc. Ron thoroughly enjoyed the craft, and being able to build something that would last over time. As many in life do, Ron battled substance abuse. Without the help of Linly and Jim at Oasis, the final chapters of his life surely would have read differently. In 1988, he recognized the internet as the future. After creating a few of his own websites in his office above the garage, and becoming familiar with the inner workings on the internet, he had an epiphany. He awoke Helen in the middle of the night to tell her that he would create a webhosting company and make millions! As was common with Ron, whatever he wanted to happen, happened. So was born Lunarpages, which rapidly became a multi-million dollar corporation.

Ron was an active father with all of his children. If he wasn’t working he was creating memories with them over weekend vacations to the lake or dirt bike riding. Taking trips to Glamis and Lake Havasu became family traditions that the family continues to hold dearly. Ron loved to do many things, some of which became passions for his children. Like scuba diving, motorcycles, traveling, and gaming. Ron never shied away from a good time and was always willing to set someone who needed alignment straight. Just days before he was to turn 18, his eldest son Ronnie, had his life tragically taken from him. This was very hard on Ron and his entire family. Besides looking just like his dad, Ronnie also was very intelligent and humorous, traits that his younger siblings admired about him. As his children reached adulthood, they all began working for the family company. As years went on, they began families of their own and Ron became a grandfather of 7 grandchildren: Delainey – 16, Landen – 14, Levi – 13, Ronnie – 12, Makenzie – 1, Remi – 1, and Leah – 7 months. Although his youngest grandchildren will not be able to make memories of their own with their grandpa, they will be told many, many stories about him and know how extraordinary he was. After 33 years of marriage, Ron and Helen found themselves traveling different paths in life and went their separate ways. Although this happened Ron and Helen and their children stayed very close.

August 27, 2009, after a long 2 years, Ron fulfilled his lifelong dream and became a member of the most recognizable motorcycle club in the world…The Hells Angels. The next 5 years are filled with numerous travels all around the world; meeting and getting to know Hells Angels from across the globe, from Germany, Japan, Austria, South Africa, and Thailand. Not to mention the numerous members from across the United States. Ron changed the mentality of the RSIDE members and taught them to be more business savvy and definitely helped build their charter to what it is today. Something he was extremely proud of. He helped solidify the RSIDE charter in Sturgis, South Dakota. He will be missed this year without him there, but he will be there with them in spirit. The outpouring of condolences from around the world is a testament to the lives he has touched.

Ron will be remembered by many as a person who did what he wanted when he wanted, accomplished anything he set out to, and lived life freely but always with a purpose. On his way to accomplishing his own goals, he always tried to elevate others with him. Ron helped many people throughout his life. Whether it was supporting someone trying to start a new career supporting them in time of need, it always came with a lecture about how they should handle it. The lectures weren’t always what everyone wanted to hear, but the direction he gave usually helped them reach their goals. Ron influenced many lives and touched many people throughout the world. He will be dearly missed by all.
